Some important events in history for Quebec are in 1608, when Samuel de Champlain, founded Quebec City. Another time is when in 1867 that the Federal Department of Canadian Heritage said as a country, Canada finds its roots in a variety of historical events.
Some other important history events for Quebec are in 1883. That's when it was Canda's first winter celebration and predated Quebec City's Carnival by eleven years. Another time is when in July 3, 2008. That is the mark of the 400th anniversery of the founding of Quebec City. This milestone constitutes as an event in itself.
The time Quebec became a province of Canada was in 1534. An English explorer, Jacques Cartier, planted a cross on the Gaspe and the following year he sailed up the St. Lawrence. In 1608, Samuel de Champlain, built a trading post on the land of present - day Quebec City.
